Painful thoughts

This beautiful creature above is currently checked into her labor & delivery room in Albuquerque and I command everyone out there to think the most painful, powerful labor thoughts her way. I can feel my heart preparing for the little one’s arrival by swelling two times its normal size to accommodate the new addition. If my friends keep having kids I think I may need to find a monkey heart to attach to my back to make space.

My thoughts are truly with her! I know i didn’t get to talk to her much, but she seems totally awesome, in lieu of Shane’s embarrassing social faux pas! glad to see you made it home alright too! it was way too much fun hanging with you and the rest of the guys! And it was definitely too long in coming. Hope we can try to get together again before we get around to the 20th reunion!
Oh L. is definitely getting pushing and labor and releasing vibes from me…hope that since I’m still in Cruces they will as powerful.
And getting to meet all you guys at the reunion was fantabulous!
I didn’t mention anything about the reunion on this entry because I think it goes without saying how awesome it was to meet you guys. It’s nice when you can translate awesome online friendships to IRL friendships. We all clicked really well and you guys made my trip super special.
And L. is pushing as we speak! I am not showering or eating until I find out that she and the baby are fabulous.
Beautiful pic! I’ll send good, easy-birthin’ thoughts … those first babies can take their time. 24-30 hr labors aren’t uncommon.
WoW….. thats…. slightly smelly, yet dedicated in an “awwww” sort of way! ;o) I shall join your effervescent crusade! no showering or eating until I know!!! well… maybe just the showering part! but I AM still sending her good vibes!
Thanks Ariel! I am finding out how long these first labors can be vicariously through Lesley - she is starting her second round of pushing after the baby became stuck after 3.5 hours. Here we go on hour 34? 35? Way too fucking long?
At 7:15 pm in a hospital located on Route 66 a little girl named Tigerlily Miriam entered this world!
