An emotional shitstorm has entered my world due to an email from an ex, a 28th birthday rapidly approaching later this month, an invite to my 10th year reunion, a nostalgic trip back to Albuquerque, and a disproportionate amount of The Breeders playing on my iPod has my counter-swirled my emotions in a backward spiral. To wallow in this moment, I flipped through some old journals from high school and started cracking myself up. I thought I would share:

I am seriously jealous of your courage. If you knew who I was at 15, you probably wouldn’t be my friend now.
I love how introspective you were at such a young age. I’d say you accomplished quite a few of the goals in the numbered list, wouldn’t you?
